Ok--New member, love the forum. This is a car that needs one!

I have about 500 miles so far on mine. Weird glitch tonight. I started the car(cold) and stopped at a drive up ATM about 3 minutes from my house. I understand that the ICE starts and stops more when the car is still warming up(37 F here), but when I was stopped at the ATM, I could here and feel the ICE cycle on and off a few times. Problem is this---the entire time I was stopped(and in park, if it matters), the display never showed the ICE as being on. In fact, the entire time, it showed nothing but yellow arrows(electric power)!

No drivability issues, and wouldn't have know the difference if the screen wouldn't have been on.

Any ideas or similar to this?

    TIA!

I have a ScanGauge II and have seen times when the ICE is running and using fuel (albeit a very small amount), but it shows up as not running on the MFD.

I like the SG II as I can see what is really happening.

Thanks for the reply---not having the ICE show up as running didn't concern me as much as the fact that instead it showed the battery(electric power) and yellow arrows moving the wheels on the display.... it was like it was stuck in an endless loop software glitch.

    thanks again--appreaciated.

That display on the MFD shows energy flow, not what is running. If you don't press hard enough on the brake, you will see power flowing to the electric motor, even when you are standing still. The ICE only shows when it is supplying power. If it is running just to make heat, it doesn't show anything on the display.

That answers a question that I've had about the MFD - Thanks!:clap2:
