Does the Prius have "dynamic traction and stability control"? If so, what years and standard or option?

All Prius have Traction Control. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is available on some models, unless Toyota has made it standard on the newer Prius.

Isn't there a difference between plaine olde traction control and the dynamic version? I don't know all the alternative names for dynamic traction and stability control.

Well I know BMW offers Dynamic Traction control... But its for racing purposes... It controls wheels spin @ acceleration without making it a struggle with the engine.. thus having a car launch that makes you look like a nascar driver :D. Toyota offers Traction Control (TRAC) so i guess its just plain old traction control... which makes the car almost stall :( and then proceed.

VSC is Toyota's version of Stability control and its optional on most of their vehicles and standard on topline (most expensive) versions of each model.
