Hey -- I have now had my Prius now for one week. I have to say I love it. I have put on 800 miles already and I am averaging 47.9mpg! Not too bad eh?

I got a red one w/ grey interior and very few options. I couldn't be happier. BTW, I was using my 1997 Suburban w/ and 8.0liter engine to commute back and forth to work until this past week! I went from 13mpg to more than 47mpg overnight. I am saving so much money - it is GREAT!

anyway - thought I would say hi.

See you around town (Raleigh, NC)

welcome to the club 75....i never thought that simply buying a new car would change my life but it has. you will be learing to drive all over again because it kind of becomes a game you play with yourself to achieve better gas mileage. i find myself whipping out a calculator to figure speeds and mileage to see how much longer it will take to get somewhere by driving slower. we will be driving to columbus ohio from the st louis area in a couple of weeks. indiana's speed limit is 70 but i know we wont be doing that speed. i think if we just slow down 5-10 mph we will do pretty good because for the most part the roads are pretty level. not a lot of hills and valleys. anyway. keep checking back in with good reports!

Ricochet2U - Did you purchase your 08 Prius from Eddy's Toyota & Scion in Wichita? I live in the Oklahoma City area and I ordered my 2008 Prius from Eddy's last week since we can't get many Prius cars in Oklahoma City (something to do with the Toyota sales district we are in). There are only 3 new Prius cars at the 4 Oklahoma City Toyota dealerships :(. We are hoping that Eddy's will have our Prius next week :). Enjoy your new Prius.

No! Eddy's Toyota were asking way too much for the car. I got mine from Kansas city Superior Toyota. I hope you got good deal with them. Enjoy your new Prius.
