I searched but could not find a thread on 3rd party bluetooth phone options. I've got a package 2 and am in the middle of an audio upgrade with iPod integration. I'm looking to options for bluetooth phone integration.

Is there a way to integrate through the head unit to display caller ID? I'm looking at simple units from Parrot that just answer the phone with a push of a button. Any info or pointers to other threads would be appreciated.

I'm thinking of getting a Garmin 660 GPS with built in bluetooth. It also allows you to go through your stereo system for audio. You can find it for under $300 on the net. Then you'll have GPS & Bluetooth!

I have owned my 08 Prius for about a month and this is my first post (yeah me). So far I love it!!! I have a package 2 and have a Nuvi 680 and a Sirius hooked up through the line-in with a monster headphone splitter ( Monster Cable -- Monster® iSplitter™ 200 Mini Headphone Y-Adapter for iPod® and iPhone™ ). It has separate volume controls and a mute switch. It does not integrate with the the MFD but I have my Nuvi mounted underneath the radio in the CD holder and it works through the car stereo with both Sirius and navigation with bluetooth. You can adjust the volume so that you can use sirius and navigation at same time. It cuts down on the quality a little bit when you do this but if you use the mute switch to mute out the navigation/phone when not using it and it sounds fine. I have the wires routed through the center console and mounted it outside so I can switch easily. I can post some pics if you want to see it. I don't know if this is what you had in mind but it was the closest thing I could find to integrate mine.

I have a Garmin that I swap between my cars. Does anyone have a dedicated hard wired 3rd party bluetooth set up with mic and plays through the speakers in the car?

How does the Bluetooth work for you on the Garmin? I wondered if the microphone was good enough on the unit. I was thinking about getting the Nuvi 660. Does the 680 have additional usefull features?

The Nuvi 680 microphone is adequate but when I use the speakers of the Nuvi people tell me they get an echo but when I use the car speakers there is no echo. I plan to put an external microphone in where the microphone goes by the sunglass holder and map lights but I don't think it's necessary. BJ's has the Nuvi 680 for $399.

    Anyone tried this one out:

    Alpine EX-10 (EX10)

I'm on the verge of buying this. I've got a pkg #2 and would love to have BT integration. I never listen to anything but my iPod so this should (hypothetically) take care of the job.

I have installed a couple of Parrot Bluetooth devices in Prius and found they work very well. They do not give caller info through the MFD but they do work through the radio speakers.
