    Hey thanks for trying... I was just looking into this hack and saw that it didn't work on an 08.

    This is the only thing I could find for disabling the GPS lockout on an 08... it's a hardware fix and looks like it only unlocks the GPS and not the phone.

    Here's the LINK.

    I'm really looking for a way to disable both phone and GPS lockout on an 08.

    Anyone?

    There is a hack that involves cutting a two wires and putting in a switch. One wire blocks the nav lockout, the other blocks the phone and radio RDS data lockout. There are instructions on how to do it somewhere on this board, here's a link:

    It's a very long thread with lots of info.
    The wires are two purple wires and can both be reached from behind the panel with the AC vent on it just to the right of the radio.
