    Hello:

I recently installed the TOY-SC1 and SC-C1 Sirius tuner and interface in my Prius 2006 with the JBL system, no NAV.

When in SAT mode, I noticed that when I change the stations with the steering wheel controls it does not toggle between my preset stations but rather goes up or down by one station no matter what my presets are. In FM mode when flipping the stations using the steering wheel control it changes among my presets stations only.

Anyone else gets the same thing? Is there a fix to this so that it operates like in FM mode, when in SAT?

    Thanks.

I cannot help you with that one but maybe you can help me. Where did you buy your Sat and Toy-SC1 from? I have been trying to buy them for a month now and keep getting burned. My current incomplee transaction is with Dogstar now. I see the OEM Sirius Radio on this site but have been unable to get more details on the product. I am looking for what you have that will install behind the glove box so all I have to do is run the antenna wire. Thanks.....

    I got them both from Crutchfield's website, here's a link ...

    You need the adapter:
Toyota/Lexus/Scion SiriusConnectâ„¢ Adapter Model TOY-SC1 Control a SIRIUS satellite radio from your 2004-up Toyota satellite-ready factory stereo at Crutchfield.com

    and the universal tuner:
SiriusConnectâ„¢ Car-only Tuner Model SC-C1 Add SIRIUS satellite radio to your car stereo at Crutchfield.com

Total cost is only approximately $155 shipped. I think I ordered it last Monday or Tuesday and got it before the weekend.

    -- edit --
On their website they say that the SC-C1 is not compatible with the Prius, but that's not true.

Yes, the TOY-SC1 changes stations rather than presets. Unfortunately, there's no way around this.

I'm afraid that is a "feature" of the toy-sc1 unit and not the Prius, I get the same functionality from the toy-sc1 unit and the sc-vdoc1 dock with a sportster 5 tuner. I'm just glad to have Sirius through the MFD, and if I really need preset tuning, I just use the MFD screen.

Thanks for your reply guys. That's also what I do, I just hit Audio and click on the screen.

Just received my TOYSC1 and the Vehicle Doc kit from Buy.com.

    Good luck.

Does this set up work in the 2004 even if it does not already have the factory xm set up and "Sat" button?
    Thanks:bowl:

It should. What you do is press the AM button twice and it'll change to SAT1. I have the 2005 and that's what I do when I want to use the DICE (which emulates the SAT1 mode).

A quick question about the SCVDOC1: can you use the buttons on the tuner in addition to the MFD controls? For example, can you pause/rewind using the buttons on your Sportster?

    Thanks

Actually, the Sportster acts only as a tuner when it is docked, it simply displays Sirius Connect and all of the buttons have no reaction. All of the receiver functions are actually handled through the TOY-SC1 when you have the receiver docked. It has it's own presets and everything, but you do not have the pause / rewind functions as you would normally with the Sportster.

Just to confirm, the TOY-SCI does work with my 2004 model (non JBL, non Nav). The instruction book says its for 2005+ models but I went ahead and gave it a shot since I thought the 04 and 05 radios were essentially the same. Crutchfield also said it wouldn't work with the 04 but I couldn't find anything suggesting it wouldn't work on an 04 since it's OK on an 05.

I used the SCVDOC1 and the TOY-SCI together as I already had a radio and have had no problems so far. I'll update if I have any trouble.

I wanted to post in case other 2004 folks were on the fence like me. No need to be any more.
