I have a Motorola Razr V9 and would know if there is any way to transfer the whole phone book at one time - this one-at-a-time is really getting OLD! I was able to do it with my Garmin but can't seem to do it with the Prius Bluetooth (2007 model). I am a new owner - just purchased the car a day ago. Can anyone help, please

Don't blame the car! Some phones don't support all of the hands free protocal, some phone companies limit transfer capabilities thru the phone operating system. My new phone (sanyo) transfered the whole phone book at once, two previous LG phones would not transfer the phone book at all. All of this on Sprint while my Prius was unchanged.

There have been a number of threads on this subject. A search may provide specific experience with your phone/provider.

I have the same phone with AT&T, which is GSM. It's not the Prius preventing you from doing so. Your carrier has specifically asked the manufacturer to lock out this feature in the phones firmware (no one really knows why). This practice has been going on for at least four years that I know of. I've visited lots of cellphone hacking sites with no success. It can be done, but I've never been able to find a simplified set of instructions to do this for this particular phone. Can anyone out there help us?

That is really weird! I CAN transfer the whole phone book to the Garmin - or is the Garmin just reading the phone book from the cell phone itself??? I just don't know how these things work. I only know I have access to the entire phonebook AND voice commands of the cell phone when using the Garmin bluetooth.

Recommendation: Look for a new phone that is fully compatible with your Prius and your carrier using Toyota's online guide. Here is a link.
