Bridgestone Turenza's any good?

I also have the Bridgestone Turanza EL400's on mine ('07 Touring). They are not a bad LRR tire I don't think. But mine say Max 44 psi. Yours must be different somehow. I won't bother replacing them until I need to.

You are doing well at 50+ mpg on a new touring. Experience and break-in will improve upon that even more. It has taken me a full year of practice to be able to pulse and glide by feel without looking at the display all the time, and to feel the car get into stage 4 most of the time. Maybe I'm just a slow learner

 

I'm at just over 12K, and they seem to be wearing fine. I do a lot of short trips with a lot of turning and the wear seems to be OK. They were rotated at 3500, 8500, and are almost due again. I'm thinking of hiking the pressure a bit more to see if I can get a little longer glide:roll:

 

I have, or had these on my wifes's van.
Had to replace at 17,000 miles.
I would not recommend these tires.
They suck.....

 

i believe that those tires carry only a 40,000 mile warranty, and have a wear rating of 260. there are a lot more tires out there with wear numbers of 400. i have those tires on my touring but the dealer advises they will probably needed to be replaced in the next 5000-10000 miles. i am currently site shopping for tires.

im leaning towards getting run flats just because you can get run flats at tirerack for like $120 and regular tires for $105 each

the rare size of 195/55/r16 limits the non run flat standard tire choices.

if your looking for run flats then there are like 12 or so different choices, and like only 4 or so choices in the
standard tire catagory

i currently have 31,000 miles

Sound like you have great MPG on a brand new car and its not broken in yet JUST DRIVE IT HAVE FUN
My turazas all season tires had a maxpsi of 44 psi the new versions are rated at 51 the same as the primacy but max load weight on the turansza is 75 lbs lighter. also Lrr tires are easy rolling soft tires are not designed for long tread wear the Turanza rating 260 the Primaicy is 240

After a major blowout on 3/07were properly inflated caused by a unproved tire defect with less then 2000 miles I replaced I replaced The Turazas with a set of Michelin Pilot Primacy tires non-runflat (the standard tire for the Prius touring in Japan)They are also a Low Rolling Resistance LRR Summer Touring only like the Turanzas Made with silica compound but they have super great handling and super when wet but No good for snow and 3 pounds heavier then the Turazas my mpg ranges from 45-54 depending on conditions 9000+ miles no problems Stay with nonruflats to save weight for best mpg

You can't rely on Tirerack's surveys. I drive Continental CH95s on my BMW, Goodyear Integritys on my prius and RX300 - both very low rated on tirerack, but I find them MUCH better than many of their high rated tires that I've had. Similarly, I have the Kumho ASX tires on another car that lasted less than 10,000 miles of easy driving and they weren't all that comfortable or quiet and they are rated very high on Tire rack.

I have the turanza EWR33 (similar to the EL400) on my other Lexus and love them!

How many miles driven under that avg?
