sales tax in florida is less for sure. 7% in my county but it has a cap for large purchases like houses and cars. The tax is something like $120 for a new car I think capped.

The US import tax I don't know but Toyota builds cars here now so some Toyotas may not have an import tax. I think the Prius is made in Japan tho not the US.

Nah, it's where you entertain your buddies with everyone's "Man Cave" toys.

When we take our after-dinner stroll we pass at least three garages where the car is banished to the driveway and the owner is walking on a treadmill while watching TV. I guess getting out for fresh air and to meet the neighborhood can't compare to the latest video.

Lafayette, IN is where I'm stuck at.

Animalcontrol: hah, I used to live in Greenwood. Goda love that +1% sales tax just for the new Colts stadium. Its still only 6% in Lafayette.

Man! I gotta move up to Seminole County, down here in Broward, they get you for the full taxible value (I paid almost $1,500.00 in sales tax.)

It was still worth it....just to have the car, but also to have the only Prius that I know of in the development...
