What snow tires do you run on your G1 (or even a G2)? I'll be looking to get some for next winter. We live in snow country, and despite the fuel economy drop, I will need to get them anyway. We aren't allowed to have studded tires, so it will be studless for me. I've run Blizzak WS-60's before on a different vehicle and they were nice.

For curiosity's sake; do you think you saw a mileage drop when you put your snows on (if yes how much)? I quite frankly didn't see any drop with those WS-60's I mentioned, but again, that was a completely different car.

I put Nokian hakkapeliittas on my car last fall and was very happy with them here in Maine. We had more than the average amount of snow here this winter so i was sure glad to have them. Worked well and quiet.

I used "Bridgestone Blizzaks" this last winter on my Rural Mail Carrier Prius. I am VERY happy with the performance thoughout the worst winter we've ever had here in Wisconsin.

The car worked pretty good previously with just "All Season" tires, but it works GREAT with the snowtires. I have my two sets of tires mounted on separate rims so I can switch back and forth quickly and easily when desired.

The previous set I use was michelin x-Ice (P175 65 R14) and it was great. Expecially when braking. The Current set is bridgestone blizzak ( I think that is specially for prius since it's the only snow tire that have the size P 175 65 R14 XL). The current one is not as good as the x-ice and I think I will switch back to x-ice if this set is due. All the snow tire is mount on the steel rims which is from toyota echo (same size). The fuel economy is increase about 10% when I use steel rims with snow tire.
