Saw Jerry Seinfeld and Colin Quinn laughing and walking together in the lobby of Jerry's office building. Odd that I've walked through his office building lobby several times a day, every day, for 14 years, and only saw Jerry that one time. Guess he doesn't actually work in his office much.

Saw Jason Alexander walking by my favorite Middle Eastern Chicken/Falafel cart.

Saw the actual Soup Nazi many times at his original soup stand. But I only bought from him 2 or 3 times when I was feeling flush. I think $5 to $10 for take-out soup, a piece of bread and an orange is a little dear.

Jerry, Jason and actual Soup Nazi look the same in person as they do on TV.

Went to Tom's Restaurant for the first time several weekends ago. Pretty standard NYC diner stuff. Not great. Didn't suck. But there were way too many tourists.

Hmmm. I thought this thread was supposed to be Seinfeldesque (and not about Seinfeld).

    Yes.

    That is the point entirely.

In other news, I just watched CSI: MIAMI, and I don't think Horatio is dead, but is Wolf a real bad guy?

Might be. Did you know, when you eat Thai, you use a spoon and a fork? As in, you push the food onto the spoon with the fork, and then you eat from the spoon.

Haven't seen it yet, but it is recorded on my DVR, so I will be watching it tonight. Surely sounds interesting! I wouldn't be surprised if Wolf is a bad guy, though. Always thought he was a jerk...

... but did you go to the Hamptons to meet the beached whale that George thought he'd save when he pretended to be a marine biologist??

I have dropped a glass of water on the floor.

I'm terribly sorry. I'll get a towel and clean it up.

    Banana Muffins recipe

    Banana Muffins ingredients list:

    1/2 cup butter, room temperature.

    1 cup granulated sugar.

    2 large eggs.

    2 large bananas, ripe, mashed.

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

    2 cups all-purpose flour.

    1 teaspoon salt.

    1 teaspoon baking powder.

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda.

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts.

    Instructions for Banana Muffins:

Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners.

Cream butter and sugar with an electric hand-held mixer until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

Add bananas and vanilla and beat until smooth.

Mix together the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

Stir flour mixture into butter mixture, alternating with the sour milk or buttermilk.

Stir until dry ingredients are moistened then gently stir in chopped nuts.

Spoon banana muffin batter into prepared muffin cups or liners.

Bake at 400° for about 15 to 18 minutes, or until tops are lightly browned.

Cool muffins by turning them out onto rack to cool longer.

But there was no sour milk or buttermilk on the ingredients list!
Why would you need to be gentle when you add chopped nuts, and are they really necessary?
Could I mix the dry ingredients first and just leave them sitting around in readiness for over-ripe bannanas to come into my life? Sort of like an emergency muffin preparedness kit?

I love banana nut muffins, I just hate when people put chocolate in them. I dont understand why people like chocolate so much. When I drive by Culvers on the way home I usually look at the sign to see the flavor of the day, and it almost always has chocolate in it. Nanana nasty nasty!
