Driving through the Black Hills (west of Olympia), doing 60 mph on cruise control, a coyote burst up out of the shadows... and I just clipped him.

Not a lot of damage, thankfully...

No blood, I didn't run over him, and I think this will, actually, "buff out"...

This is Rudy's first mark! :(

Oh dear, in addition to the fog horn, they'll probably legislate strobe lights and Mars rover style air bags surrounding the car....

Those are going be some expensive mods.

Seriously, I hope the animal wasn't badly hurt (no that's not a guilt trip, there's little you likely could have done one way or the other), just irrational sympathy. I believe in Darwinism, but sometimes find its practice uncomfortably harsh.

The good news is that you're right, the damage to your car doesn't look too bad and even if it doesn't "buff out" it's low enough as to less than noticable.

Question, will the political powers demand that our Beep Beep horn be taken away, since it now draws in Coyotes? :pound::pound::pound:

    Hehehehehee!! THWWWWWWWWWWFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTPPPPPPPPP!!!!!

It was dark, we did not go back and determine if the coyote was injured or killed. Since I didn't actually roll over him, I think it can be safely assume that I hit his hind end, and probably bruised/broke his rear.

I do feel bad, yes. Not broken up over it, though.

If I didn't think they'd mess with the aerodynamics, I'd also consider cow horns on the hood...

With those, the hat rack, and the after market horn that sounds like a cow mooing....I'd be all set.

    NOT!

    Rae Vynn,

Didn't you see the afterburners of his ACME rocket skates as you past by?
