Question regarding Bazooka tube installation..

    I'm stuck between the BTA6100 (100 watt) and the BTA6200 (200 watt).

    (The other nice thing about the latter is that it has an adjustable crossover)


    Do you think the 200 watt model really sounds that much better & warrants the extra $70 or so?

    Also, would it draw much more power from the battery?

    i got the bta 6100 and am about to install it. It all depends on how loud and what type of music you want to play. I, personally, do not want to blast my brains out, I just want clearer sound quality and a light unit.

    If that bazooka is a powered sub then it needs to be powered/grounded (as I understand).
    And no need to get into all the MFD, etc., just tap into your rear speaker wires.

    Dude, you have pkg. 6, which means JBL factory amp. There won't be any "plugging it into back of MFD". You need to tap into the rear speaker outputs at the amp under the seat and do some research here before you start. The FAST connectors don't work with Prius' version of the JBL amp.

    That tap can be via Line Level converter, wire splice, or wire taps.

    You're gonna want a remote bass level control also, to get the most out of the system, because every song is different.
