If it's a chick car, why do the guys outnumber the chicks in the forums by such a huge margin?

If your husband wants to impress himself, his buddies that are still in the USAF, and his fellow retirees then let him get into the technical threads of Priuschat. Tell him there is a sweet package 6 waiting for him with everything that comes with it or a nice package 2 that is crying for for the mods that only he can give it.

 

No. Make him keep driving the Vue until gas gets to $5 per gallon and he will decide all on his own that a Prius is not a "chick car".

My hubby didn't want the Silver Pine Mica either (my favorite color). He was sure happy when they had nothing in stock but the Metallic Grey. Nice macho color, he's really proud of it. Too cute.

check out a black prius. they're inherently better. i mean... they look cooler. i mean... ah crap.

 

I second that. BLACK Prius. Especially if he was close enough to the generation of men who had black stereo equipment etc.

Does he enjoy technology or mechanics or numbers and graphs and cool whirly looking things ? Get him some tech info on the HSD and ICE and MGs and computers...

I find the magnetic gray to be very manly, and with the touring package, it looks so good! I think that he just needed to get over it. If he thinks that it is a chick car, then I guess he doesn't want a Prius.

 

black prius, tinted windows, black rims....nuff said. If he still thinks its a girly car, then his head isnt screwed on correctly.

It is a common miconception with military men IMO. We have a lot of customers from Travis AFB and they tend to smirk or openly joke about my car when they find out it is a Prius whereas they used to drool and utter glutteral noises when I drove the 800HP 4x4 truck. Overall they are great people so I chose not to beat them down and have them report back to their friends that a thin, "metro" dressed Prius driver handed them their butt. ound:

Ok in all seriousness ask him what is really important in life, saving money to use on more important things or impressing other people who don't give a damn about you two or your future? If he is still dragging his knuckles then show him pics of Prius' with aftermarket wheels and window tint. Military guys love adding junk to their cars, I know because I sell it to them.

 

Just tell him, "If you are truly secure in your manhood, a Barbie Pink Prius wouldn't even matter."

Then ask him, "Honey, just how macho of a car do you feel you need?"

At that point I'd bet a Silver Pine Mica would be just fine.
