Rochester and yellow? Must be a Kodak building. rochester, ny - Google Maps This building cost around $600M to build:
FOUND IT! FINALLY! I had to (cheat and) use the google image search tool and translator. It turns out similar image was posted on a Japanese website and identified as McLaren's factory in working. The translator wasn't quite accurate, it is actually McLaren Technology Centre, Chertsey Road, Woking, Surrey GU21 4YH, United Kingdom. This has been driving me crazy for the quite a while. Notice in the time it took us to find it, the facility has been finished and looks a bit different. Here is the link to how it looks now: McLaren Technology Centre, Chertsey Road, Woking, Surrey GU21 4YH, United Kingdom - Google Maps Now for one that should be simple today:
What a cool game. But, Toups, honey, too easy with those hints; it's the Medinah Country Club, Ryder Cup 2012. Now this place below was the most famous place in the world not that long ago; less widely remembered today.
Sorry if too many hints, but trying to jump start the game again. Last image took over 4 years to solve! Not sure why I recognized it, but that is Pont de l'Alma across the Seine in Paris France. The bridge commemorates a battle from the Crimean War. This site became infamous with the death of Princess Diana in September 1997 at this location. The google link is 48.863522,2.301828 - Google Maps Will add a new site shortly. And here it is:
Note this may have been posted before. (I apologize, it's been several years so some reuse might be warranted.)
Arc de Triomphe, Paris. Toups, hon, looks like it's just you and me. All the easy landmarks are used up already - the game lacks zest. Let's zest it up, add the zest of spectacle, the zest of celebrity. Everybody likes gossip. So no more postcards. From now on each picture has to have a story. The more scandalous the better. Maybe that will draw in more players. The site below has everything: celebrity, world fame, spectacle, a bit of scandal and even mystery.
Too easy, it was the second site I thought of. The intersection of Highway 466 and 41. From what I read, the roads have shifted but are still visible. Here is the google map link as required 46 and 41 - Google Maps What happened here? Well a Porshe 550 Spyder driven by James Dean was involved in a crash with a Ford Custom according to the account at James Dean - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Well, the first site I thought of was the one shown above. It has all the items of interest with the spice of politics added. (I had to use a URL link rather than uploading it. I wonder if I have used up my site quota? Does anyone know how to check?) Now upload is working again. Enjoy and good luck searching.
