Hey all, I'm new to PriusChat and thought I'd quit lurking and actually post here. Enjoyed reading all the discussions. I put a deposit down a couple of weeks ago for a package 2, and my dealer told me this morning he might have one for me arriving in a couple weeks, but had to check with someone ahead of me who was going to be out of town for a month and may not be able to take delivery.

So I'm on pins and needles waiting for a call!!

At least I found out I am apparently #2 on the list!

Thanks for listening, waiting is miserable!!

Waiting is the worst, huh?! :(
Fingers crossed you get the call sooner than expected!

Then you'll have a whole new world of Prii mods and driving techniques to consider

1 1/2 months new owner (myself) and the Prii dust is just settling.

I put my name on the waiting list on 5/3 at West Ashley. Base Black, supposed to be here next week, so they say. Of course, they also told me it should have been here 5/16, too, but they supposedly didn't get enough in that allotment. Ready to start the joy ride!

I guess it all depends on location. I had my Prius the same within week after ordering online.

No mods in mind yet, maybe start with disabling reverse beep.

The first mod is to my budget, I made a deal with myself, so first cut is to my daily 6-10.00 Starbucks habit!

but with the money you save in gas you can buy more coffee!
Yes, no r beep is a good one. Still don't know why Toyota thought we needed to be reminded our car is in reverse. Shouldn't the beep be outside the car? LOL

Hang in there, and let us know how things are going. I am using Stokes Brown in Beaufort. I went to Gene Reed and WA. GR wanted 1800 over sticker and were very arrogant I thought, WA had a car available for me, but while I was talking to the finance guy about finance rates, etc., he interupted me and told me the car was just sold (I didn't want to put a deposit down until I found out my bottom line monthly payments, etc.) I guess that's just because buying a Prius is a game of hardball for sure.
