I just discovered that PC now has photo albums, so I created a public Suzy album with some sailing photos. Here is a sample:

Do either of you guys know how to look at the rest of my photo album? I uploaded about six or seven sailing photos to try out the photo album feature of the new system. I can see them when I go to my control panel, but I haven't a clue how anyone else can see them, even if it is a public photo album. Do I need to post a link? Give it a try and see if you can view my Suzy photo album and let me know if it works.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I don't know anything about the PC photo albums, sorry.
Lack of (soft) water gives very low drag (through the water) allowing the high speeds. This is below the high water mark at Port Gawler Beach, 40km north of Adelaide. This picture isn't me and isn't my yacht but I do sail, well I did, not been out for a while but I still have the yacht. I sailed competatively for a few years best position in a championship was second which I achieved a 3 times. I was happy with that, the guy who kept me out of first was 40kg lighter than me.

    Here is some close racing

That looks like a lot of fun. We do our hard water sailing on ice, which has even less friction if the conditions are right, but the friction goes up a lot if you fall through.

I was able to see your photos by going to your profile. It's probably easiest to post a link, though. Here you go: PriusChat Forums - qbee42's Album: Suzy

Replace the wheels with blades, bundle up (and freeze anyway) and I've been there, done that. By far and away the fastest I have ever sailed was ON TOP of Lake Erie. Fun no matter whether you use wheels, blades or plow through water (the warmer the better). Remember, the best sailing is done nekkid.

I saw them too, but the link is appreciated and much easier to get to your album. Once again nice boat and a diesel too, required for big lakes and the ocean IMO. BTW, dude that is a seriously huge laptop you got there. What is it?!?!?

The laptop is now an ex-laptop, having gone to the large recycling bin in the sky. It was an HP Pavilion with a 17" LCD. It was very fast for the time, unfortunately HP got that speed by using desktop components, consequently it ran very hot. Almost all of that model ended up burning out their system boards, mine included. The large number of failures means that there are no replacement system boards, so it was unrepairable. I even went the route of trying component level repair, but it was beyond that. I miss that big beast, as I haven't replaced it. At the moment, I am using one of my smaller laptops for portable applications, but eventually I'll need a newer laptop.
