I know how everybody is saying that the 09 is exactly the same as the 08, so I don't want to hear anybody saying stuff like that. But if you put an 08 and an 09 next to each other could you tell any differences or would they practically be identical.

My guess is that "they [would] practically be identical."

I base that only on the thought that the '10 is supposed to be very different. There would be no gain in making variations now.

Ever since the 2006 Prius, nothing has changed (at least that I know or heard of). Supposedly it's the 2010 model that's supposed to be different.

A fleet manager at Hayward Toyota, having sold Toyotas for 15 years ...

confirmed the 2009 Prius will be just like the 2008.

Yeah, I heard the same from a reputable dealer here in Atlanta. And they said the next generation could be 2011.

It will probably be identical, My daughter has a '07 Mag Gray and when she parks next to our '08 SBM they are identical except for the colors. Her interior is a little different though as she has a package #3, but the differences are due to the packages.

Someone has already posted the '09 dealer brochure. There were no changes listed.

The '08s were being driven home by new owners the first week of September '07, so if you actually get an '08 in September, it will probably be one of the last few. Frankly, I'd hold out for an '09 if it wasn't going to cost more than a few hundred more. Better resale value in case you decide to trade up to a Gen III.

I thought I heard they will be slightly larger with more power. But I've been wrong before.
