Okay, I installed the psychoblaster horns Saturday from Hornblasters.com in my Prius. Wow, are they ridiculously loud! Loud horns coupled with a stealth car makes for great reactions from unsuspecting people!!! I know many of you might say that local laws forbid them or other reasons that I shouldn't use them, but hey, it's freaking hilarious to see people have the crap scared out of them from this tiny little car. I will be happy to demonstrate them for anyone in the Arlington, VA area. Just PM me and you will see how much fun they can be.

From a safety standpoint, I drive interstate roads about 600 miles/week so I do happen to have them for that reason as well. People look for a tractor trailer, but all they see is this little Prius! Then they wonder, did all of that noise come from that little car? It's great!!!:D

Yea, making folks jump out of their skin for no reason, is a real hoot. Lame.

You kinda gotta have a decent personality to find it funny. Go to Youtube and look up hornblasters. Sounds like you could use a laugh!

Perhaps it's a Maryland/Virginia thing. I bought a truck from a guy from there about 5 years ago and he had air horns from a train installed on it. He thought it was the funniest thing.

I may consider a set of these if they pass legislation for minimum noise levels for hybrids. I will just honk them at all intersections as a precaution to protect any possible blind pedestrians.

Having abnormally loud horns on a quiet eco-friendly car seems out of character to me.

I've seen those HILARIOUS videos on YouTube - they sounded like train horns installed on regular cars. The people drove by sidewalks/intersections then blasted bystanders. So funny! Those people jumped and ran and got pissed! I'd love to do that on mine.
How much were they? Did you get the train version? Was it easy to install?

I'm laughing just thinking about it. LOL

Every car should have up to three horns:

A quiet "ding-dong" to alert the person in front of you that in fact the light is now green and that they can safely proceed. You could also use it to let someone know that you're waiting in the driveway and that you're too lazy to get out of the car.

The second is a normal horn used to be used for emergencies.

The last would have foghorn-like power. Used by law enforcement and by permit only to get the person in front of the officer to hang up their cell phone and keep their vehicle in a single lane. This would be a great time-saver for the police because it could be used in place of a traffic ticket. I'd be willing to take the required 1000 hours of training and pay for the $500 permit...

May many, many very expensive tickets come your way if you're really childish enough to drive around and scare people.

sometimes I could see these would be neat. like when the guy that tries to push you off the road gets in front of you. or the couple making out instead of moving after the light turns green. or the govt makes our Prii's illegal cause blind people want to walk out into a road that cars drive on and think they shouldnt get killed cause they are blind. I would never honk scare innocents however. Thats just mean.

Make up your mind, you either fitted the horn to a tiny little car or a Prius, one or the other. Or did you fit 2 horns?

Well I watched the video and it does get old very quickly doesn't it??

Far out, just checked the web site, $350, you'd have to be psycho to buy it, go get a hand buzzer for $5, just as much fun.

Please have consideration for your fellow humans when you use your psychoblaster. How would you feel if you knew someone had a heart attack or ran into the path of an oncoming car and died because you wanted to get someone's attention with a train whistle?

Also, please do not blast your psychoblaster if there are horses or livestock nearby in fields or trailers. It's no fun to be driving a truck pulling a trailer while the contents of the trailer is trying to run away from some inconsiderate bozo. Nor is it fun to find your horse injured because someone wanted to try out their new toy.

Your fun could cost someone many dollars if you don't use it with consideration for other people.

Next time I am in your area I'll be sure to give you a call so we can test your theory about startling someone being hilarious . . . and then we can compare it with my theory that when startled, I throw my can of soda at your obnoxiously loud car.

Yep, seeing your reaction would be hilarious!

    I WIN! :first:

So you'd take it from startle to vandalism? If it were my car, i'd see your vandalism and raise you assault and battery.

For the record I absolutely agree with this, but I still think the videos are funny and the horn could be used for fun under the right circumstances.

In that case, I would then raise you back with an arrest, law suit, and prison time. I would also file a lawsuit for pain and suffering . . . because you are a big, bad, dude . . .

"Your Honor, the defendant snuck-up behind me using stealth mode in his Prius, then blew this incredibly loud horn which not only startled me, it caused hearing pain and some slight hearing loss. In an attempt to plug my ears, I flung a can of soda I was holding, it landed on the defendant's car. He proceeded to get out of his car, threatened me, and then sucker punched me as I started to walk away. Next thing I knew, I woke up in the hospital with a neck and back brace . . . and I am still sufferin' (wink, wink) severe headaches."

    I win again! :first::first:
