I don't get it, you are saying Honda Insight, but it looks exactly like a Toyota Prius and it is seen in the same pictures right next to a Prius. But, it's a Honda? Wait what?

Why does the Honda team have a white Prius?

:p I think someone needs glasses, that car is a Prius. You can even see the Toyota emblem with tape over it.

Well, the antennae is not a Prius antennae. It's too close to the glass and there's no water sprayer.

Of course, the door handles are different. They lift up, not out.

And that one black cover is hiding a horizontal headlight assembly.

Look at the interior in the 7th picture. The driver's console is exactly like the Civic ones. Speed on top, tach on bottom.

Hmm, thoroughly ripped off exterior with a different interior.

Exactly. I like Honda, but I am less than impressed with this "new" car.

Thank you for providing this link, it was much easier to see the differences in these pictures. The dash, the headrests, etc. Nothing too major though.

Look at the high res versions of the pictures. Its pretty close in shape to a Prius but its also got a grill that is much closer to the FCX clarity.

Not until the specs and pricing are released will I have any real thoughts on it. The Prius is a great car, I am not surprised the shape is similar.

That car looks strikingly similar to -- no, let's say congruent with the
    shape of the current Prius.

Maybe they should name it the Hindsight... as in 20-20.

I have to believe that this is a put-up job, a kind of counter industrial
espionage meant to misdirect scruitiny. And, when the real car is unveiled
at a major auto show, the world will have forgotten this little bit of twisted
    corporate humor.

I've been watching Honda Insights while going to work for about five years -- one while in Kansas and another in Virginia. I have always liked the car but I look at how small it is and wish it was bigger with the same gas mileage. Now it looks like they might have fixed the biggest complaint I had with the old Insight -- it only fits two people. I truly love how big the Prius is. It now looks like the new Insight will a similar size as the Prius with comfortable seats to boot.

I think it is great that we will have another high MPG hybrid to choose from.

    ROFL :: Hindsight = Brilliant

I am glad to see some (hopefully) real competition in this market space, it's just a shame that American manufacturers can't pull it together. The Prius is so far ahead of the rest it is in danger of resting on it's laurels. I hope the hindsight will be cheaper, faster and get better mileage. Then Toyota will have something to leapfrog ahead of other than itself.

On the subject of the same exterior lines, it's really a matter of form following function here, the Prius is an idealized form for streamlined passenger carrying in a conventional seating arrangement. It's hard to improve on the best.
