My neighborhood was built over 3 years ago but shows up as Cannot locate this number and on the screen it does not even show the entrance to my house just a big blank on that side of the road. Been to the dealership and they talked to Toyota and they said When the New update is availible in Nov 2008 I can purchase it for $250.00 Gee I thought I did !car was put together in Last part of May 2008, Delivered on June 12 2008
Anyone else out there agree with being double billed ? for Toyota not updating my Prius

Are you sure you have the correct region set?

How strange. Toyota NAVs have always been much more complete than most other manufacturers with 99% vector road coverage. In contrast, Infiniti, which uses NAVTEQ, as of 2004, only had 1% vector coverage which meant that turn by turn directions only worked on major roads and major metropolitan areas. It was one of the factors that lead us to selling our Infiniti FX45 back in 2004. Our address was built 8 years prior and was still not in the data base. I reported it to NAVTEQ and they told me it would be in the next update. The next update came out and we paid $250 for it but our address still wasn't in it. To this day, all these years later, it has never been fixed when playing with a friends 2007 M45 nav. Most other addresses were not in the data either because we don't live in a major city.

In contrast, our friends 2001 GS430 had our address and the dozens of others that we tried that NAVTEQ didn't have.

Toyota didn't do something stupid like switch over to NAVTEQ to save money did they?

Even with the update, there is no guarantee that your neighborhood will be on the map. Map completeness varies by area, and is at the whim of the map data company, not Toyota.

Don't bet the update will help you. I have the 7.1 (2008) disc and when I travel on roads that have been in place for three years, it still shows me driving through a farm field. I'm not a big fan of the NAV system. It's overpriced and complex. My Garmin Nuvi is more up to date and easier to use.

It took 5 years for my home to show up on Mapquest. I don't think the Toyota software is outdated, I think the maps take time to update. Time = years.

Nope, that address doesn't show on my Nuvi either. Maybe you should move, since you are evidently living in the Twilight Zone.

I put your address in my 2008 NAV system v.7.1 and it found Frederick CO, but said there was no such address. My Garmin Nuvi 360 had similar results. What's so frustrating about the Prius NAV is that it doesn't find addresses that have been in place for at least a decade or more. Once my wife had the curious experience of setting the Nuvi on top of the Prius NAV system and using the Nuvi because it could find an old restaurant and the Prius couldn't. It's common where I live to input the exact postal address and have the Prius NAV deny the existence of the house, even in very old neighborhoods. Plus, the entry system is very awkward. So I can't say for sure your home doesn't show up in the system somewhere. I can say I couldn't get it to come up. (And, yes, I changed regions.)
