MP3 playback JBL radio

One more piece of information is needed: the model year (and I'm not sure if this applies to non-North-American cars.)

The 2004 & 2005 models with Nav and JBL sound also had a cassette tape player -- they can not play MP3 disks.

The 2006+ models with Nav and JBL can play MP3 data disks. Most people burn a data CD in their computer with folders corresponding to albums/CDs with the music files in each folder. These are inserted into the 6-disk CD player. The Audio screen displays the folder and music name on the screen.

 

I have the 2007 model. If it is the same system as the North American version, then yes, it is in the dashboard. You load CDs by pushing the load button and then loading the CDs through a slot when the green lights prompt. There is a shortcut to load all 6 by holding the load button a little longer. There are controls on the steering wheel for volume, track and mode (radio, CD, etc.). By holding the track button longer you can also change to the next CD. There are also more extensive controls on the front panel and the touch screen. It plays audio CDs and MP3 CDs.
