Well, it's been a week with my Prius. I've put on only about 250 miles so far, but I have to say I LOVE this car. I plan on getting new tires and tinting my windows soon. I probably also should get a bra since I'll be doing a lot of highway driving.

As of now I'm at almost exactly 51 mpg. This should be more like 53 mpg if I knew how to drive it like I do now in those first 50-100 miles. I'm not big on hypermiling but I know how to anticipate hills and how to "pulse and glide" pretty well now. I'm also getting better at getting to that "black" energy screen for longer than a minute at a time.

The handling is nice and smooth. I can't complain about the acceleration and it's much better than some people let on. This is coming from someone whose last car was a Mazda 6 Sport. If you're just thinking about purchasing this car for the gas savings, you probably have better options. This car brings a lot more to the table than just fuel efficiency. For those still on waiting lists, hang in there. It'll be well worth it.

I'll add to this later on. I'm at work and suddenly I'm busy again. If you're waiting for a Prius and you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line.

Thanks for the first impressions! I'm sure those that are waiting or thinking about it have now another point of view on the table.
