What's this?

    I saw this "thing" in the sunglass holder. What is it? It looks to me like an LED mounted on a stalk.

    I don't think so. The clip mechanism is towards the bottom of the picture.

    It's the spring that puts tension on the latch. That square area below the latch mechanism (slightly above and left of your circle) presses against it.

    i wouldn't lie to you it holds it up and when you push it it sends it back down

    Showed the picture to a friend of mine. It's a pressure stop or buffer designed to keep the door from rattling. It also provides a firm feel when you press on the door to open it.
