    My ABS lite is on - Went to dealer and they 'bled the brakes' and turned the lite off. A week later and it's back on.

    My scan gage will not tdetect ABS malfunction codes. Is there a way to jumper the obdII and count the blinks like in the classic prius?

    PLease help.

    Hi Ron,

    It is possible to jumper two terminals on the DLC3 connector to obtain blink codes. However this is a bit complex as there are three systems that potentially might produce blink codes: ECB, ABS, and VSC. There are many pages in the repair manual about this, suggest you download from techinfo.toyota.com if you are serious about pursuing this.

    Since your car presumably is still under warranty, why not return to the dealer so that the DTC can be retrieved.

    Hi Bob,

    Yes, blink codes are available for those DTC listed as ABBBB/CC, where:

    A = P for powertrain, B for body, C for chassis etc., per SAE standards.
    B = an alphanumeric character
    C = a numeric character. This identifies the two-digit blink code.
