So far I kinda like it. It's hard for a web browser to be truly revolutionary, but there are some neat features (like dragging tabs outside the window). Anybody else testing it out?

Funny; I just starting using it. I agree; the dragging the tabs outside of the window is really excellent. That's capability that I've wished Firefox had for a long time.

Overall, it does seem a little slower on loading pages than Firefox 3, but maybe that's just normal variation in my connection speed.

It's sad to see GOOG morph into MSFT but they are ...

I like Google, but I see little reason to abandon Firefox.

I agree with Stev0 that any browser will need open source add-ons before I will abandon Firefox. Having said that, there are some things - some noted above - that I like. For example, I just resized the Fast Reply field. That's pretty neat and great for the long replies.

You can be sure Google built in clever ways of tracking your viewing habits much like the old AOL browser. You will succumb to their business plans by keeping you tethered to their sphere of influence.

I was looking at an article on CNET about reading the fine print. You can see it at Be sure to read Chrome's fine print | Webware : Cool Web apps for everyone - CNET

The one that got me was:

"By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any content which you submit, post or display on or through, the services. Google is the new M$ already. They are using the full range of dirty monopolistic tricks.

I can live with that. But I can't live with the fact that they still claim to be the white knight of the industry. They are still trying to keep surfing on their friendly and refreshing reputation. But they are not anymore.

Agreed. I won't be installing Chrome any time soon.

Glich - Once I scroll down I can't scroll back up!

I just installed it on one of my laptops which has Vista on it.

One glich I've noticed so far is that once I use the touchpad to scroll down, I cannot scroll back up. Weird. Don't know what's up with that.

Deleted and included that whole paragraph in my 'reason for uninstall' report when they asked.

Google's market strength is their fast response...
It's also an excellent place to work, from what I hear.
Me, I'm gonna wait until I see how well XP sp 3 does on my home laptop, before I add any more software.
I did try Opera, once... I like innovation. I'm not that happy with FireFox 3, as it is. I liked 2, very much.

    I'll wait a bit.

    Interesting. . . perhaps I'll reinstall.
