I found this post where the user removed the emblems of his car from the rear: (new user not allowed to link to the older thread apparently)

I asked my car guy to remove my emblems as a personal preference and he stated they had guide holes behind them. Perhaps it was just the side "hybrid" logos that have the guide holes? Can anyone confirm which emblems do have guide holes behind them and which do not? I am not going to remove the front/rear Toyota symbol.

    sprfrkr,

    Welcome to PriusChat.

You got it right; only the "Circle-T" badges front and rear, and the
HybridSD badges on the front fenders have holes.

Debadging is very easy. Use the search function with the term
"debadging" for a few different methods. (It's to the right on the blue
bar near the top of the page.) Most everyone who's attempted
it has been successful -- including me.

Save your $$$ for a ScanGauge, BT Chassis Brace, Sharkfin, whatever.

    Goodluck.

Thank you kindly. I bought two synergy drive badges and one of the hybrid badges. I was going to swap the two hybrid side badges for the synergy drive ones and only have one hybrid badge in teh back, but that looks to be a no go now since the guide holes are too far apart on the hybrid ones. No worries.

Hey, all is not lost! Dogged Perseverence is the creed of modders!

The HybridSD badges have pins that go in the holes in the fenders. But
the badges are plastic, so the pins can be cut/snipped off and then
trimmed/sanded smooth on the back. Even in their original position, the
badges are held securely in place only by the 3M super-sticky mounting
tape. With the pins removed, you can mount them where ever you please.

    sprfrkr,

I failed to pick up on an subtle point in your last post.

The holes under the HybridSD badges on the fenders are not at the ends of
the badge. The Hybrid Synergy Drive badge, like on the lift gate, can be
    used to cover them.

FWIW, the line of the HybridSD badge is parallel to, but not the same
as the line through the lower edge of the door handles. The holes in the
fenders, at least on my 2008, are about 1/8 inch in diameter. Horizontally
the centers of the two holes are 2-11/16 inches apart. The two holes are not
in a line relative to the botom edge of the badge. For the driver's side, the
forward most hole is behind the connetor at the botom of the B and R
letters. The after hole is on the D, just below a line extending the upper
edge of the HYBRID lettering. The center of the aft hole is 1/2 inch above
the forward hole. I haven't looked under the passenger side badge, so I don't
yet know if the holes there have the same forward-aft orientation.

As to removing the Circle-T badges, front and rear, Hobbit has a cautionary
    tale here:
