    Front looks like the current VW and its back looks like Prius......that's original. :eek:
    So this newer Insight is also a hatchback?

    I'd say the front looks VW, the side view is Prius, and the back is Insight I / Volt. :)

    A sustainable and steady top speed? 40-55MPH in ideal situations provided that the SoC is high enough otherwise its no better than a glide extender at a steadily decreasing speed. A steadier cruising speed can be maintained speeds below 40 MPH with a smaller SoC penalty.

    But, whether on a Prius or HCH-II my goal for top FE is to avoid EV as much as possible... unless of course I can make the loss of SoC worth the distance covered - and in this area the Prius always wins. Still, At 1.2KWh and 1.0KWh respectively, the packs are not deep enough for EV show-offs on a regular basis without paying the regen price - and the HCH-II pays the highest price in this area.

    Cheers;

    That's essentially what it is.... a Fit hybrid. It's got a different name but it's a $17500 gasser 5 door hatchback with a $1500 hybrid option.

    A minor correction.... Prius HV battery pack has 1.3 kWh -- 30% more than HCH. The power output is 21kW and 15kW respectively.

    The wheelbase is a little under an inch longer than the Prius - 107" vs. 106.3".
