    PRIvUS,

Great find! Many thanks for sharing with us.

I for one will be looking very closely, very often at the pix.

Oh yeah, clever handle too... I think I get it!

Interesting collection of Prii. Some have the side-signals while others do not. Some even have the California HOV stickers.

Boy, I like the tail lights on this one:

Anyone know about these tail lights? Aftermarket? Or modified stock housings?

This one is the most important to me! How did they get real tail lights in there? the 5W that it comes with stock is TERRIBLE, and I can't believe that it is even legal.

I think they all look cool, but speaking as one of who has aftermarket rims on a Prius (having done this since I got the car almost, and that is four years ago...), I will say that one should expect to lose some MPG.

My favorite. The house and the tree are just wow!! The car is so shinny too. That's it... I am going to mod the parking lights with LED as well. I can use it as day light as well.

    Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I believe that the black rims in the 3rd/4th pic should be lighter than stock. so, that might..................just be a minimal loss in MPG. rotating mass is one critical aspect and i dont think those rims are too heavy. my 2 cents.

I plan on doing mine with red lens spray paint like Krylon Stained Glass paint part # 6020.

Or you could also use red tinted film. (I may go that route also not sure yet)

It sure would be a lot cheaper than to buy complete assembly.

hint: Just google "diy red tail light" and you might find some interesting stuff ;)

I think the point was that the tails were brighter than stock. Has anyone had success in finding a 10w tail bulb that fits?

Also, what's the deal with the LED front markers? Are they dual phase (i.e. do they blink yellow) and if so, where do you get them?

Edit: I was referring to Darrel's point in my post above, not to EssKay. Though, there are ways to custom the tails, and I believe others on here have referred out to Jon's in NJ. I'm thinking about getting my tails tinted there, but I think he does customs, too...red, part red, etc. It does require that you lose your tails for a few days unless you're close to northern NJ, though.

    ~ Thanks...

There is something I really really want to do to my Prius that I can't seem to even plan correctly.

Have you seen some Pontiacs that have round lights mounted within the rear bumpers? They are spotlights that come on when the car is in reverse so the driver has good rearward visibility. I would very much enjoy doing that with my Prius, considering the tint means if I actually want to look back (rather than using the camera), I basically see nothing.

I need to replace my rear bumper anyway, so why not experiment, right?

    Advice?
