ready mode?

    I feel silly enough asking this, so please don't make it worse...

    I see references to being in "ready" mode, but I don't understand how to get in ready mode. I've seen posts to make sure you're in "ready" mode, and not in "accessory" mode if you leave the car running for longer than an hour.

    How do I make sure I'm in "ready" mode if I want to leave the car running?

    Ready mode is the normal driving/operating condition. Essentially if you can put the car in "D" and drive it you're in "Ready". If you look at the head up display near the shift/gear indicator and speedometer there's a little spot where it says "Ready".

    Thus, to get into "Ready" put your foot on the brake and push the start button.
