Good tread wear on my X-Radials

I switched both of my taxi's over to X-Radials after the Bridgestone turanzas
that came with the cars were shot after 45,000 km.
I recently had a flat that could not be fixed because the nail was in the sidewall. When i took it back to Costco the tire had 20,000 km on it.
I was expecting to pay for 20-30% of the cost of a new tire. When I came back to pick the tire up I was surprised to find out that there was no charge
because they said that there was close to 100% of the tread left.
When you consider the fact that a taxi will wear tires out quicker with all the turning we do compared to the guy that drives straight down the expressway to work for most of his mileage, I am very impressed.
If it were the Turanza it would have been halfway through the tread.
despite the huge headache it was to get Costco to switch me to the 15 inch tire from the 16's that the car came with (I don't have an hour to relay all the bs I had to go through between Toyota Canada and Costco to do the switch) I am very happy that Costco backs their tires up like that.
Especially since I am using them for commercial use.

Same experience here. I have over 25,000 miles (42k+ km) on mine and they still look new, no discernible tread wear.

I just rotated mine at 10,000 miles a couple of weekends ago and they looked like new.

Glad to hear other people have the same results. I put 150,000 km a year on the cars so I am hoping to get away with 2 sets of tires a year.

Just bought a set from Sams. Compared to the Integrities, they are slightly quieter, handle more crisply (haven't experienced rain or snow with them yet), and seem to have a minimal mpg hit.

Should I expect a mileage hit switching from the Integrites to the michelin X? I understand there may be a temporary hit. Same pressures.

I saw a 2-3mpg hit that slowly diminished over about 1,000 miles.

Now I'm getting better mileage than before, but it's probably improvements with the driver versus the tires.

If you got the same size tire, I don't think you should get a permanent mpg hit.

Consumer Reports rates the rolling resistance of the Michelin X as "Excellent" -- its highest rating. My guess is that this is equal to or lower than the rolling resistance of the Integrities.

I just picked up a set of X Radials at Costco -- they have $60 off four right now. The Integrities were almost down to the wear bars at 28,000 miles.

I haven't driven them much yet, but I have noticed they're quieter.
