I've had my Prius about 1 week now. Is there anything a newbie like me doesn't know about it?

    Thanx

    :welcome: Welcome to Priuschat.

    The short answer is "yes"
The slightly longer answer is that some of us have been hanging around here for more than four years and are still learning.

Do you know how to get 60 MPG or better, routinely?

    Glide, Stealth, Warp Stealth.

The Knowledge Base forum is your friend =). It has all the files you'll need (or want) such as "How to Disable The Reverse Beep" or "What Don't I Get The EPA Mileage?" and various DIYs for stuff like iPod integration or Sirius Satellite radio.

At precisely 88 miles per hour the Nickel Metal Hydride battery will discharge 1.21GW through the flux capacitor and send you back to the future. Note that this event will be logged in the HV ECU and may invalidate your battery warranty.

    Welcome :)

Ive had mine for about a month now. Found a great extra storage area on the bottom of the center console..it slides out like a small drawer. Fellow Prius owners are a great group of people that help each other with all kinds of vehicle questions. Hope you are enjoying your Pruis...Congrats!

Sometimes your Prius is smarter than you are, so let her do whatever she wants. . .
(of course, I do get to steer).

i.e. if you try to do something & the car won't let you, believe the car.
