I was trying to think of a way they could make sure that the gals working up there make sure the lanyard is attached... like for a toolbag for example that just became another 17,000+ mph obstacle to try and not hit...

Astronauts vow remaining tool bag won't drift away - Yahoo! News

I saw this and I would have to agree...

Don't you find the spacesuit a bit dull and plain? You'd think with billions of taxpayer dollars at their disposal, NASA would accessorize the suits.

As far as the exotically expensive tools drifting away, gives a new meaning to "lost in space"

It won't work. It looks too much like a purse, and I have witnessed my wife's capacity to loose her purse at every opportunity. I am thinking about stapling it to her, along with her car keys and cell phone.

Gotta have matching space shoes or it's a total no-go...you can't be seen in the black void in that!

Normally, at least in this country, mens clothes have TONS of pockets, while women's clothes have few and none. I don't see any pockets on that woman's space suit in your photo. Add more pockets, darn it!

For that matter, why are women expected to look like men and wear "business suits?" that female astronaut in your picture is wearing a man's suit! How do I know? Because it is all one color from tip to toe. Women wear COLORS, lol.

Why not make the women's suits hot pink or purple or maybe a sexy little black number? Are they afraid of the space dogs?
