mmhmm... It could very well be that instead of making LED headlights standard, they're only putting it on uplevel models and giving the base models standard halogens. I'm also assuming it's to keep the entry price low.

With all the new technology, it will push the price into Lexus territory. I hope not but it seems like it (LED headlights, possible solar panel, possible OLED screen).

I believe the light above the foglight is the indicator/turn signals. The light above the high beam is called the "city light"

Maybe Toyota had a dummy front end on the test mule in the photos?

DRL, main headlight projector, and high beams... this model also looks differently than one we already have seen, this is probably regular prius lights (non LED)...

so is this one of those "looks right when turning right" headlights?? maybe its the picture angle, but it does not look like the light is pointing straight ahead

i also dont like DRL's...lights on ALL THE TIME that dont really benefit me MOST OF THE TIME is not what i want... sure have em... but with an on-off switch

Not necessarily. The Prius is the forefront of technology (aside from the LS)

Adaptive headlights? I don't think they'll put it in.

DRLs? I understand if you're in the southern states. DRLs aren't the most effective there but up north, they are. I'm at 55°N now and I'm surprised at the number of people who don't turn on the headlights. Just because the sun is shining doesn't mean I can see you!! The sun is low on the horizon.

Nothing can get me over the new interior. I don't care what marketing says. It's a deal-breaker for me.

I'm going to try to get a new 2009. Then after that.....my next car will be some sort of EV. But it won't have that stupid interior to nowhere taking up space between the seats.

Is there anywhere that has all the "official" tease photos of the new Prius that have been published here and elsewhere? I'd like the chance to see them all together.

    Thanks!

The leaked pics were of a car that actually had a different headlight design on both sides. The left side had one headlight design, and the right side had a different headlight design. Yes, both of these pictures are of the exact same car. There are actually numerous more photos out there that confirm this.

They're the same. It's called perspective. On the bottom picture, you're at the height of someone kneeling down. I mean over the high beam, you can see that the headlight cover extends backwards
