They're a group of three blue men.

Thank you, did you check their world tour dates?
    Maybe part of their routine.

Stunning. It took my breath away.

But as to the PHEV technology, a true cutting edge OEM feature, why wasn't
it clearly shown? In the beginning of the clip, the "plug in" was for the studio
    lights.

Is Toyota saying it's not quite ready yet...
and it will be available later...
    maybe 2011?

ahah! take a look at the video on high quality and in full screen on 1:38. just confirmed where the power mode/eco mode buttons are, and also that the 3rd button is the EV mode. the video gives away some of the other buttons too. but i still don't get it. why doesn't the speedometer of this prius match that in sneak peek #6?

i wish this prius can achieve the mpg of one of those small, weak, impractical diesel cars which prius haters suggest as the better alternative in eco mode while matching the performance of a new mazda 6 in power mode (it'll be great if it can even outperform the 6). if this really can be achieved, let's see what else jeremy clarkson can say.

Wow. I really didn't like the looks from photos. It looks sporty in the video. And it looks BIG. Very impressive.

The mpg? They say its improved despite that its bigger and faster. If that is true, even slightly its going to be great!

I didn't see it either...but also they didn't show the ceiling...making it that much more suspicious that it's a switch for a moon/sunroof.

I wonder if Toyota allowed it "under the table", knowing that the Detroit show will be a wake.

    VERY well done, Bossdowner!

The video is back on youtube for those who haven't seen it yet. By the looks of the clip with the iphone, the MFD looks like the new one from the new RX. But it might not be a white Organic LED, but it definitely is a new version of the software.

    Wow! This was GREAT!

My heart was racing just watching it. After discussing hybrids for years with my in-laws, they are finally getting one this spring, We'll see if they can be a bit more patient and wait for the 2010 model instead.

I'm thinking Bossdowner's video may help!

    Gadtgetdad,
That plug innuendo had me going there for a second, too!

I....... CAN'T........... TAKE........ IT........... ANYMO....... AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!

Even my wife jumped up out of her seat to watch the video with me last night. She said, "Drop everything. We're going to Toyota." I reminded her we will not be able to touch one until next fall. "Ohhhh.." she said and hung her head.

Seconded here too, the gas-pump/tumbler/eye-dropper segment was just brilliant IMHO!

I heard late spring. The 2009s are a 1/2 year car. The way the economy is going and cars are selling, the 2009s should be in stock all next year. Even if they stopped making them right now! ;) I suspect by summer you will have a choice of either a 2009 or a 2010. You -might- even have a choice of colours!!

Is this a toyota sponsored spot? If not, how does bossdowner get his hands on a toyota and on the blue man's group(not crew) to do the bit?
