Hmm, but people have been saying that the 2010 TCH will get the 1AR engine?

i very much doubt that AZ will be used, that would be quite silly... and it wont be USA only, US execs have already said few months ago that 2nd hybrid is coming in USA, later on in 2009.

It makes little sense that bigger hybrid would be Japan only, but I believe it wont be sold in Europe, but in USA and Japan.

Looks to have turned out to be a most excellent decision. Not only for you, but for everyone else that has followed your examinations and reports.

Those improvements are why the next car bought was a 2007 Prius (due to the number of drivers increasing).

I'm still hoping to find out the 2nd one is a Prius-type minivan!

The market is suddenly shifting in that direction.

SUVs are quickly falling out of favor and the very vehicles they replaced could end up replacing them!

i see nobody working on new minivans.

Europeans have smaller minivans (like Mazda5) and sporty station wagons (like Venza)... but full size minivans are pretty much dead, like in USA.

Yes the original announcement several months ago about the debut at the NAIAS also stated that the vehicle would be 'line off' in April 2009. That's when I'd guess the first Japanese buyers will be able to take delivery. Ken?

Logistically it will take several more weeks to get them here to the first buyers. I'm guessing mid-June on the W. Coast of NA and a few weeks later on the E Coast..

Is anyone here an original 'Prius Pioneer'? By that I mean one of the first 1000 or so buyers of the Gen 1 back in 2000? Before the Gen 2 was released these pioneers were given the special opportunity to preorder one of the first Gen 2's. They were notified by a personal email invitation from TMS to them directly several months in advance of the Oct 2003 debut of the Gen 2.
