New Mac User ISO Tech Support

    My 2 cents - Turn on tap to click for the touch pad. Then you can two-finger tap to right-click. Also, personally, while I do love and use Firefox, Safari seems to handle downloading apps better, by starting the installation automatically when complete.
    If your wife is interested, Camino and Opera, are also available for browsers.

    has anyone had any problems with the newer safari, i think its 3.2.1 ?? the mac is fine, but on my pc it seems over a period of time, it will stop loading pages properly that are javascripted. like even 'post quick reply' on prius chat, or the ligthtning deals page on amazon, and even you tube stuff, will stop loading, and i can get it to load pages again if i quit safari and reload it, until the next time...

    amazon had a lightning deal the other day on vmware fusion, it was like $25 or something after rebates, so i got that.

    New question.

    My wife insists that I must have changed something. The Mac X Spell Check is enabled and misspelled words are underlined. However, she says that she used to be able to click on the word and get the context menu.

    I asked all the obvious questions: Were you two-finger tapping? Did you have two fingers on the touchpad and click the button? Are you sure? I've checked every setting I can find but can't figure out what she's talking about.

    Is there a setting or something that if you click and hold the context menu will pop up?

    Yup, noticed the same thing, after about 15 min playing with safari, that sucker got deleted, dumped, erased! A browser has to be really bad when IE is an improvement.
