Oh my god. You really didn't know who Bert Parks is(was).

That and having had a colonoscopy makes me feel so old.

You are SO full of s***

Oh, wait a minute. After chugging down the Picolax, you were NOT full of s***. On the contrary

That Picolax is pretty nasty stuff. Next PriusChat event I can make, I'll spike the punchbowl with either Ipecac or Picolax

Why not both. That would set up the classic problem of sitting on the toilet when you need to toss your cookies. Do you go for the sink, grab a waste basket, or just switch back and forth really fast, hoping to keep everything synchronized.

If you have to ask you haven't seen the TV that comes out of that place or met a typical American tourist outside the USA.

I once listened to an American tourist complaining angrily to a ticket-seller in Mexico because the ticket booth was not labeled as such in English. Only Spanish. ("If you want American tourists you should speak English!") Needless to say, I apologized to the ticket seller for the rude and stupid behavior of my countrywomen. I fear the ticket seller would have preferred we both go back where we came from. Yet everywhere I've gone in Mexico, with the odd exception of Oaxaca, Mexicans have always treated me with great kindness, in spite of the boorishness of most Americans.

It's not just Americans. The English and Germans can be pretty bad tourists too. I suppose every country has their share of them, but some seem to have more.

Sorry guys, you lot are famous for it world wide. I recall countless English comedy skits about it and Aussie ones too.

As a dual citizen, I was really surprised at the change in attitude once I moved back to Canada and started travelling with a Canadian passport. A couple of years ago, I was meeting with clients in London, and in my spare time walked around Canary Wharf (Isle of Dogs) in jeans and a cute tee. This was July, so I actually could wear a tee

The tee had a Canadian flag and the caption on the front and back was "Made in Canada." A lot of passer-by smiled and thought it cute

The Chinese have actually created travel documents for citizens traveling abroad to educate people on how to be polite in various situations were the typical Chinese behavior is considered rude in most other countries. You always remember the tossers because you don't notice the decent people.

We always cruised below the radar when we traveled abroad (invariably to France) because my da speaks fluent french. The frenchies were always a bit confused. We don't look particularly french. They always said they thought we were Belgian, but that was probably a back handed compliment if not an outright insult. :D
