    Greetings!
I just found this website today because I had to google to find out what the 2010 colors would be for the generation3 Prius and I discovered a treasure trove of information at this website. I had a deposit down for Silver Pine Mica and had hoped that color would be available for 2010, so I deferred my purchase for a 2010 because I just loved the solar panels/moonroof, something I had really hoped that Prius had offered initially, but when I was led to this website and found out that Toyota dropped the Silver Pine Mica for 2010, I was torn between having a newer generation with moonroof but not my first color choice or a 2009 without a moonroof, but with my 1st color choice.....so even though I love many of the newer features I'm back to my original choice (with a slightly different interior) and take delivery of my new Prius tomorrow. Happy, happy....joy,joy!:clap2:

You're gonna' love your car!! I have had mine 16 days........(who's counting??) and really love "Eleanor." She's a SuperWhite '09 package 3. Almost bought a Silver Pine Mica though. It would have had to come in from north Louisiana and I went back to my first choice and got the white. Let us know your first impressions of the car. It's not just a hybrid car but is also a really well-built, fun car to drive. Good luck today!!

You have the best car on the market today and even when the 2010 comes out, it will have lots of great features but it will be new. There were some minor issues with the 2004-5 Prius which were sorted in the 2006-> so you can rest assured that your 2009 is the most sorted Prius year thus far, the 2010 will take a little while to earn that title. Having said that I would have picked a colour I liked from the new colours and waited for the 2010 but either way you cant make a mistake.

Welcome to the Prius religion!(more like a cult really)

    Greetings!
Thanks for the kind welcomes....you Prius owners sure are a friendly bunch!
Six hours and counting. I barely slept a wink last night, dreaming of my new purchase. Spent a lot of time going through various threads.
I noticed many owners were surprised that they ordered one interior and happened to get another when the cars came in...and most were pleasantly surprised. That was my only complaint, is that I was on a wait list for the dark gray interior, but they could only locate a bisque. I'm just worried that my dog, who will own the car, I'll just be his lowly driver, will turn the bisque into a not so pleasant color in no time. (The dealer is throwing in some leather protectant). I guess I'll just have to keep plenty of towels on hand......or hope for the best and that my window sticker is wrong and I'll end up with a gray interior. I've got my fingers crossed!

Chuck a blanket over the seat, that'll fix it.

I love my White 06, but it would be just as good in any color. Why is color such a big deal? The extra 2010 features would offset any color choice options for me. But that's just me.

I, like you were , am on the fence. Its very tempting to get the 2009 , since they seem to be offering good deals. Because of the improvements in the 2010,I am going to wait. I wish you the best. I know you will love the car and only hope I will be just as happy.

I :heart my 09 silver pine mica...It took me forever to decide on a color, but can't imagine owning any other now! I'm not sold on the changes in the 2010 Prius yet...I'm going to have to see them for myself. Glad I didn't wait!

Silver Pine Mica is a great color. We have had ours for two years and still get complements on it. Too bad Toyota is dropping it on the 2010's. When you get a new car you might as well get the color you like. In my opinion, it is not as important on a used car. I have bought lots of used cars over the years and the main consideration was the condition of the car, not the color. That being said, there is now one color that I stay away from and it is yellow. I have had at least three yellow cars that were all bought new and they were very close to being lemons. No joke.

Congrats on staying with the silver pine mica. I am a newer owner of a used 07 in that color and ABSOLUTELY love it. To me it seems to be a classy color! But the car underneath the color, now that's really something to love. I truely believe no matter what color you get, it's the car that steals the heart.

Well it's been two weeks and it is definitely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE at 1st drive. Maybe it's because I'm a woman I'm more concerned about the color.....or maybe just because the pine color stands out in a crowded parking lot. And green just makes you smile! Everyone's nick-named it GRASSHOPPER.....and I'm sticking with the name.....as long as you say it like they do in the movie, Karate Kid!

We went through the exact same back and forth and took the plunge last week! I had my heart set on the Seaside Blue and had to "settle" for a package 6 because that's all they had in that color. Actually, with Toyota cutting the package price in half plus the $1k incentive, it was just a great price we couldn't pass up. I'm sure waiting on the 2010 would have cost us 5K or more.

Haven't been to a gas station yet and I'm averaging 47 mpg. Hope to break into the 50's soon.

    Congrats to you too! :cheer2:

don't know how folks can't be sold on even higher than already highest mpg's . . . but that's what does it mostly for me/us. Not that LED headlights aren't great too ... and laser distance/lane assist ... self park ... improved MFD goodies ... heated seats ... oh, oh, OH! ahhhhhh ... (need a cigarette ... sorry). I'm just hoping we don't run out of money before the pre-order pricing arrives.
