Great car but needs fog lamps in the gold package. If enough people complain, Toyota will listen and remedy the situation.

    Again?
Posting this in multiple threads won't convince anyone it is the opinion of more than 1 person.

Whether you disagree or not it's bad form and bad 'netiquette'.

You've stated your opinion, hopefully Toyota will make note of it. But don't annoy the rest of the forum in the process.

    Tideland Prius,

They had a slide show presented like a film on a screen with a number of interesting tidbits. They also had a Prius engine/transmission/synergy drive attached only to wheels standing alone - like an art sculpture.

It showed the engineering lit as a work of art - engaging and presenting a perspective on this manifestation of manufacturing talent as an object of beauty.

Same display we had in Detroit. You'll find FireEngineer's engine block heater installed in the engine ;-)

I'm not sure following is discussed before, but there are two handles on the rear gate.

I've also noticd that there's a panel in the between the handles, near the lower window. Is that for easier access to the licence plate lights?

User modifiable I hope. If I lived in a dangerous area, I don't think I would want them to auto unlock until I had a chance to check the surroundings.
Do U.S. cars get DRLs now or are we still the ignored step-children?
That is good, I'm not real fond of the 2006+ texture
Sad. I REALLY wish they would adopt the Honda (and others) 'both sweep to the A pillars' design. Cleans the entire window rather than leaving a triangular blob for the tall person in the shotgun seat to look through. Also eliminates the need for 2 wiper sizes and the passenger side wiper doesn't throw stuff into the driver's field of view.

Too bad you have to fork over for NAV to get it.

How much can that cost???? I really like that the manuals have their own storage pocket so I can separate the "I use it frequently" stuff from the manuals.
AAAK! MORE changes to HATE. Who is making these decisions? Certainly not someone who uses the feature.

Well that makes it totally useless doesn't it? You have to take everything out of it to get to the stuff underneath? Bleh.
Not 'entry level', all non Nav units as far as I can tell from other reading.

This is a problem no car can fix. Try to affect the society you live in to make it nicer.
If it isn't required by legislation you are unlikely to get it.
When you have finished mopping the floor you can start cooking dinner, you step sisters are off to the ball tonight.
Are you sure it liked you? Maybe you should attend relationship counselling together.
The parabolic curve of the passenger wiper reduces this unswept part, maybe we need to get that stepchild to sweep that remaining bit? Hey, that's you!!

The back seats fold flatter than my 2004 Prius. The rear head restraints don't need to be removed, the head restraints fold forward easily by raising them right up and pulling lightly. You could leave them folded forward when there are no passengers in the back to improve that "dreadful rear vision". (crap, there is nothing wrong with the view out the back)

The shelf in the console is for your iPod so hinging it isn't so bad.
The cup holder under the armrest can be removed if you want to improve access to the centre console box. You can also lift it out to tip those last coins into your hand.

Sometimes it can be hard to be positive, this isn't on of those times.

    Good morning Pat :)
I don't expect the car to fix society, I just hope the user can change the auto unlock if they want. I personally wouldn't care, I don't live in such an area and never bother to lock my doors when I am driving.

A lot of U.S. cars have DRLs, even some Toyotas I think, but not the Prius. Not sure why that would be. A lot of states suggest you always have your headlights or DRLs on during the day. Burned out an HID doing that. Now I just use the 'running lights' but I think a DRL would be more visible.
A bit tough to do while the car is moving at 65 MPH and it is raining! Besides, why create a much more complicated system when two standard motors working in opposition would be simpler? Besides the 'unswept part', the passenger side blade frequently doesn't have good contact with the window on the far side at speed leaving it less than clean. Maybe the new aero design wipers will help that. It isn't a huge problem in the summer rain but the winter salt cr@p that gets tossed up there from cars in front even a couple hundred feet (not that anyone actually gives you that courtesy even when traffic allows) in the winter doesn't come off. In any case, blades that sweep to the A pillar NEVER have a contact problem regardless of how fancy or basic the design.

Was hyo silver talking about the BACK seats? I read it to mean the FRONT seats didn't fold all the way back.

Not necessarily. The Honda Civic has the minivan-style sweep up to the a-pillars but have uneven length wipers (i.e. the driver's side is longer than the passenger side)
