Toyota's oil level test is specified as:

Warm up the engine, then stop the engine and wait for five minutes. Check that the engine oil level is between the low and full marks on the oil level gauge [i.e. dipstick].

    (My emphasis.)

So, how do you clean it? Just spray that special CRC cleaner into it?

Since I've reached my 50 MB attachment limit, I can't post the pdf I made of the MAF. I'm pretty sure it exists somewhere on this forum

As stated earlier, you remove the MAF from the vehicle. With the can of MAF cleaner, you put the extention tube onto the can, and use it to give a couple quick blasts into the guts of the MAF

Once the MAF is off, you can clearly see the two hot wire sensors inside the body. Never, ever try to use a swab to clean the wires, you will damage them

With my FJ, I can remove the MAF, clean it, and have it back on the vehicle in under 5 mins. THe Prius takes a bit longer, but it is still an easy job

    Great, thanks:D
Looks like you cleaned both the wires and that little temp bulb.

Also, if you only clean the MAF, it looks like you could spray both places without removing it, just bend the can straw to point into that wire area, no?
Does the dealer sell these cleaners or find that CRC can on line?

Another update... my oil definitely appears to have been overfilled. The oil level was a bit more than 1/2 an inch above the top mark on the dipstick.

I figured it couldn't hurt to clean the IAT sensor. I was already cleaning the hot wires, so why not have everything clean

Sure, but it's fairly easy to remove the MAF, so I'd just as soon remove the MAF

Try an auto parts store like NAPA, Pep Boys, etc

Any chance the dealer will resolve this? If not, you can purchase one of those dipstick tube pumps that hook up to a small electric drill. Probably $20 or so at an auto parts store

Always check the oil level yourself before driving away from every oil change. This can find errors before they become annoying or expensive.

One way to prevent overfills is to buy the oil yourself in bottles and give them to the oil change tech. Five years of experience shows that three US quarts is all that is required. (But if you're nervous about that, buy a fourth quart and hold it in reserve. Top off the oil if you feel it's necessary.)

Besides the MAF Sensor issue, could the over filled oil cause any other problems? I'm thinking specifically of issues with seals in the engine and the like. I'd like to have an up front talk with my dealer's service department about the ramifications of this error, not only for the money I'm still owed for the tow but also any future issues that might arise.

If it was that grossly overfilled, the motor would probably not even run. I doubt seals were impacted.
