    I bet!

Was that you sleepwalking last night, during the high speed pursuit on tv with a stolen SWAT truck, ending in an absolute orgy of violence and destruction?

I gotta get some of that s*** ....

Okay. Now I get it. Ambien is that sleeping pill that sometimes makes people do totally crazy things at night which they don't remember in the morning. A great night's sleep if you don't wake up in the hospital ward of the jail because you got shot in the leg while trying to rob a jewelry store with a potato gun.

Or mix up your "Yes" and "No" catagories on a PC poll.

What's the flaw in robbing a jewelery store with a potato gun. At close range they'd leave a hell of a bruise.

The flaw is that when the store rent-a-cop pulls out that 45 he's been dying to try out on someone ever since his wife left him for the lawyer who makes more money that he does, and you both fire at each other, his bullet hurts you more than your potato pellet hurts him. He gets a band-aid and a medal for stopping a robbery, and you get one aspirin for the pain where the bullet shattered your kneecap as you lie in the jail's hospital section wondering why the guy attending to your wounds is a P.A. rather than an M.D., and why he didn't bother to wash his hands.

(Background note: At Sandstone FCI there was a P.A. but no M.D. The P.A. made regular rounds, and his hands were always dirty. Apparently, he didn't think it was worth while washing his hands when his patients were all prison inmates.)

That's why you don't want to rob a jewelry store with a potato gun. You greatly reduce your chances of escape. However, in the end it's your choice.

Hmmmm maybe they're told that washing hands is a commie plot and only sissies wash their hands.

Amazing true story: I once walked out of a restaurant, refusing to pay, after going to the boys room. As I flipped and zipped, one of the toilets flushed, and one of the kids who was a waiter calmly ambled out WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS

After I washed MY hands - why did I even bother? Not like my wee wee was dirty or anything - I stormed up to the front, growled at the staff behind the till why I was leaving and NOT paying, and just walked out

There is no way in hell I would finish my meal after witnessing THAT performance!

The assumption inside the prison was that visiting us with dirty hands was just his way of expressing his contempt for us. After all, we were just inmates. Many of the guards were quite open about their belief that we ought to be treated like animals. I've noted that many people feel that prisoners are treated "too well" and ought to be made to suffer. This in spite of the fact that the majority of prisoners in the U.S. have been convicted of victimless crimes, and the majority of the people who really destroy people's lives are never charged with a crime.

Really nasty people (murderers, rapists, bankers) are relatively scarce in prison.

    Oh I agree with that.

Matter of fact, if you're a REAL crook, a lot of so-called officials will kiss your nice person too

So just curious: if that had been you flipping and zipping, heard the toilet flush in the stall, and the server walked out without washing his hands, what would YOU have done?

Some folks think I *way* overreacted to that incident. Maybe I did. Maybe I should have encouraged that server to touch my food with his hands before I started eating ...

After taking AmbienCR on a trip my wife told me that I got up in the middle of the night and tried to pee out the front door of our motel room. She stopped me just as I was about ready to go and redirected me to the proper facilities. The next morning I remembered nothing about it.

    p.s. I love Ambien. :D

I have worked in food service and food processing, so I can tell you with some certainty that what you witnessed was common and rather minor compared to some of the sh*t that goes on. You really don't want to know. Still, it doesn't make it right.

If you want to watch a disgusting but funny movie about that sort of thing, watch Waiting:

I really have no troubles whatsoever landing a woman or getting laid, so I don't think I have to worry about avoiding restaurants.
