    Maybe I shouldn't have posted it ... technically, since it's a 3 wheeler, the Isetta isn't a car that makes me smile. Were they 3 wheel? ... or 4 ... I can't remember. [Edit: Oh, they made 2 versions ... who knew] Still, there is something to be said for a 3 wheeler:

    The Isetta had four wheels, although the rear two had a rather narrow track.

    I don't know if it's true, but back in the day it was said that the narrow track
    qualified the vehicle as a three-wheeler, i.e., a motorcycle thus without the
    regulatory/safety requirements for a passenger vehicle.

    Besides my SuperWhite 2008 Prius Touring the only car that made my heart sing was my Baby Blue '73 VW Beetle - $2300.00 out the door - truly a "car for the people." I was hoping that Prius would reign as the new holder of that austere position, but I'm afraid that the Gen III will be priced out of the reach of the "people." :)

    The only car that ever gave me "the warm fuzzies" was a '98 laser red Mustang named "Melissa" by me..........now my world has changed and I am in love with "Eleanor" my '09 SuperWhite Prius. Wow what a 180!!

    The boards do seem to be long-boards, perhaps of balsa. Just like "The Duke" (Kahanamoku) would have used on the North Shore ...

    My Dad had bought a 1959 Ford Anglia, I don't know why, I was just a munchkin in '59, but, I remember a trip to the mountains, with a family of 5, (2 adults and 3 brats in the back).............just something about the suspension going around those curves....did something to all of us.
    It would have been nice to see one of those in the MicroMuseum.
