I would believe the answer is: an indeterminate number of Angels could dance on the head of a pin. A pin is material and exists in the material world. An Angel is spiritual and exists in something other than the material world. Since we do not know exactly what this world is, the answer to the problem is..... indeterminate.

Rats. Now I'm getting a headache...

Unless of course the angel's wing span protrudes from the spiritual world to the material world. I think there was a bad Travolta movie that covered this and the answer might be in the movie if you can sit through it. Of course the loose feathers from the wingspan might get in the way and have a mathematical effect on the equation but so would trying to figure out how Travolta is so religiously blessed to be paid generously to make bad movies when he is a devout scientologist.
    Now I'm getting a headache.

Because I asked the question. It's my question. So the question is what I say it is.

Finally, an answer! Thanks. I'm still open to other opinions.

I've already said that if you don't believe in angels you are not eligible to offer an answer.

Numbers! I want numbers. No philosophical gymnastics trying to evade the question. If god could knock up a woman, then angels can dance on pin heads.

Just because you asked it doesn't mean it's also not the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything.

Wouldn't it be dangerous to dance on the head of a pin?

I suspect dancing shoes do not have the grippiest soles so a group of angels dancing on the head of a pin would surely be in breach of the ocupational health and safety act, so the angels would all be criminals. That would mean they would lose their angel status so the answer to the question, "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?" is none!

    Glad to be of service.

Of course, they would be in *clear* violation of various OSHA regulations.

    Assuming they even existed ...

Angels do not wear shoes. And their feet are sticky like flies. (After all, they can fly like flies, and walk on walls and ceilings like flies. In fact, they are occasionally mistaken for flies and swatted. When that happens they deposit fake fly carcases to confuse people, and teleport themselves to India where they appear as elephants and almost never walk on the ceiling.) Therefore they can safely dance on pin heads.

    Now. Numbers! :focus:

If angels only existed in the spiritual realm, they wouldn't need wings, now would they? And, as everyone knows, white feathery wings are as much a part of angels as halos, so they obviously exist in the here and now, and therefore must possess mass and physical dimensions, indeterminate though they may be, that would, clearly, eventually overtax the surface area of said pin, however inevitably attracted angels are to such things, as they are wont to be. Speculation is merely a futile endeavour, indubitably ignorant as we are to the dimensions of said pin.
