They told me that they won't have any 2010 Prius even on the lot until September / October

That sucks. I hope another New Jersey dealer gets them sooner

I mean, I want the iPod connection built in so September was my plan, but I would have liked test drive, and sit in a 2010 more before then.

I didn't even give the guy enough time to mention the 2009. Once he said that I walked out :)

Im thinking DCH Toyota in Freehold.. looks as though they are getting 4.5 out of 5 ratings across the board .. maybe #1 in jersey? I don't know how to find out

If a dealer told you they won't have the 2010 until September or October, then they lied, pure and simple. Bet you big that they will have one on the showroom floor in June. They LIED!!!

Stay away from Sansone. They are bad news. They just lost a class action lawsuit a few years ago for false advertising and almost lost their license. Also they are a bunch of wise guys and punks who don't know crap about cars. I have heard good things about DCH. Gateway in Toms River has a small lot but they are not high pressure salesman. They are very easy going and shoot straight. Lakewood Toyota has probably the biggest selection around if you head into Ocean county.

    I am in Middlesex County.

I know they lied, hence why I walked out after he said that

Did you try Gateway Toyota? I think it's exit 82 off the Parkway... It's on Bachelor Street if I remember. They were a huge Toyota dealer last I remember.

If not, cross the bridge and try on Staten Island or right in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, I dont think their lists are long. My dad is after me on Staten Island and my 2 friends are on the one in Brooklyn. Not sure if anyone is after us though...

    Good luck!

Just wondering, does Toyota have any control on who retails their product? And if so, why do they let dealorships like this continue to represent them?

I always try to buy a car from where I would do the service. Also if you tell them you will be using them for service you can get them to be a little more flexible and maybe throw a few freebies in. I would go with DCH if it is not to far for you. Give them a call or stop by to see what type of treatment you get.

Yes Gateway is still exit 82 and yes it is a very high volume dealership but there actual lot is very small. I think they must store cars elsewhere. I dealt with the internet sales team and the were very nice. i did not buy a 2008 Prius last year but they treated me like I was a long time customer and were not high pressure at all.

I'd rather go somewhere that I can get service from, but thank you :)

My girlfriend lives across the highway from DCH so it may be my best option.. and her sister got her Rav4 from them so maybe that can help

No problem, but you can get service at a dealer other than the one you purchase from. I've gone to a dealer right where I work even though I buy where I live...

I just called Toyota of Manhattan. Their waiting list is 10 people now and the deposit is refundable.
