I was looking for a good set of very light-weight 15-17 inch rims for my pgk 2 08 Prius. After some of googleing, I came across the Buddy Club P1 Racing QF rim. Buddy Club market this rim as an "Ultra Lightweight Rim" to find out more check out the Buddy Club website, they also claim that the weight of this rim was 9.13 lbs!!!! while still maintaining structural rigidity. So after all that will these rims fit my car? Now would these get better MPG because there lighter than the stock Prius rims?

They look nice... I like 'em... But they also look expensive!

If they come in a 5 x 100mm measurement they should fit a Prius...

They will fit if the bolt pattern is the same and offsets are close. Check at www.tirerack.com to get that info. Buddyclub makes nice stuff. Those wheels are forged and should be very strong.

The OEM wheel specifications are PCD=100,# of holes=5, offset=45.
    15 inch standard:15X6JJ
    16 inch Turing:16X6JJ

Anyway, Japanese hypermilers are saying the light weight wheels does not always show better MPG.

Rim weight is one thing, but the tire you are going to pick and mount on will count much more.
Some tires are heavier than others in same size......

These wheels and many others like them have been around for quite sometime the tuner guys love lightweight wheels, but I think what Qlara said is the key to it all. You gotta factor in the weight of the tire and wheel combined. At one point in my life I owned a Matrix (One of many previous yota's) and everyone on those Forums was rolling lightweight wheels and tires. If I remember right Enkei & BBS made some of the more popular ones. Quick Question anyone ever tired using Lexus wheels on a Prius....say maybe the wheels off a IS250 or IS350?

It looks IS250 uses 114.3mm PCD wheels. Prius uses 100mm PCD.
