My parents are looking for a new 2009 Prius package 2 in the Houston area. I wanted to see if there was anybody that recently purchased a Prius in the Houston area. I found a couple of dealers that have in stock package 2s, but they are quickly dwindling down. Some don't even have the notorius GST port installed options.

Any help would be appreciated. I have emailed the dealers and they are wanting invoice with the rebate. But, I wanted to see what others have gotten.

Just a minor correction - Texas is in GST region, not SET. Can't really help with your question, but invoice, less the rebate, sounds pretty good.

I was shopping for an '09, package 2, with leather seats about two weeks ago, and the lowest bid I got was for $24,000 OTD. I'm certain it's gone down now, in lieu of pricing for the 2010, and so on, but that's what I was given. Don McGill Toyota wasn't bad, but Champion Toyota was better by nature of their location and their service reputation. I would NOT suggest going to Community Toyota out in Baytown. They have tried to lowball me and do a bait and switch--just bad business practice, in my opinion. I hope that helps. =)

ah, i am not getting anywhere near $20,000 for a pkg 2 with floor and cargo mats. i can easily get that in chicago and we only have a $1,000 rebate.

I know it is not Houston but not a far drive either.
I bought mine in Austin pkg 2 OTD for $23,500. That was almost 2 months ago so I cannot imagine prices wouldn't be better. There were almost 500 to choose from at the Austin dealerships so you could have anything you wanted or didn't.
