    I was told the same thing about having to wait until October, except the reason was 'our waiting list is so long'.

    I think (and hope) at this point even the dealers don't know.

    Yes, he is feeling better. We just recently discovered that he has a milk allergy. So we switched his formula over and it caused his tummy to really hurt. Switched to a different formula and it seems ok for now.

    Thanks for asking.


    All the dealers that are saying October are playing it safe. The Allocation just came over the wire yesterday. We have no idea how many cars we are getting next month, the month after, etc.

    Glad to hear he is feeling better, my son will be 3 the end of the month and I now know what people meant when they always told me when a little infant hurts, you hurt too. I never thought there were SO many different kinds of formula out there due to different allergies etc until I had to begin buying it!

    Anyways, let me keep this thread on topic :)

    I was hearing the same BS from the dealership for the Honda Insight, that they only had 3 cars available per month and they had a long waiting list. Jabber, any insight (no pun intended) into this? why would a dealership do this aside from "playing it safe"? are they trying artificially raise demand and thus the price?

    So, I just called my dealer to see what he knows about delivery dates. He didn't know that they were on the dealer daily yet, and asked if they were "A" status or "F" status. There went my reputation as a customer "in the know"--I don't even know what the status is.

    Jabber? Nate?

    They might be trying to do that, but it is too risky. If you call another dealership and he says he only has 2 people on the list, guess which one will get the deposit. My guess is they want to under promise and over deliver.

    "A" status means it is on a ship, railhead, being built, etc. It is still at least 1 week away. "F" status is it is en route to the dealership. It should arrive within the next few days. Every 2010 Prius is in A status right now, since they are still on a slow boat to chi, err US

    I just got an email from my dealer saying that "the first 3 have been ordered" - what the heck??? I'm 15 on the list and feel like I'm not going to see this car until Christmas. :eek: Dealerships wouldn't drag their feet placing these orders because the total inventory is up - would they??? Does the word "order" mean something different in dealership-speak? I'm getting depressed - Winebuff, pass the bottle, please. ;)

    I understand your frustration Maggiemay. But, Toyota can only build them so fast. When we place the order, it lets Toyota know that we need that car. However, given the total amount of orders (20k, I think), they just can't build them fast enough.

    Got my allocation today. And only one of them fit an order.

    So.. I have a 2010 Silver IV without the nav or solar coming in that isn't spoken for. It should be here by month end, maybe the first week of June. And I MIGHT have access to a Black III with JBL stereo.

    Let me know if either works for you guys and gals. The III is about a 5% chance of getting, the IV is 100% not sold as of this point.

    One last thing, for those waiting on a V with the ATP, there isn't a single one that has shown up in DD yet. There are only 4 V's and they only have NV.

    Does it tell you how many vehicles have been entered so far? That is, w/o you having to individually sit there and count each entry lol

    There are exactly 5 in the US with solar package in the IV model. None in your color.
