    All dealers can see what every dealer in the country is getting now. Not whether they are sold or not, but I can see what they are getting.

    Well for some reason they aren't returning phone calls. I've called 4 dealers and only 1 got back to me. I'll be calling again on sat and see what the story is.
    I guess i will have to buy from a volume dealer. The small dealers will likely only get 1 2010 prius this delivery.
    You would think they would want to make a deal work for you and take a deposit. :confused:

    It's a signed Purchase and Sales Agreement. This is what You should have before you fly anywhere to buy a car. just have them sign it and fax it to you and then you fax it back. It's a legal document that the dealer has to honor. I don't know if every State has them but we do in my State.
    I can try and post a pic of one.

    so say.... hypothetically... that a dealership quoted you the incorrect price... As long as someone can get them to sign the P & S BEFORE they catches it... will they have to honor it??

    Technically, in the state of Illinois that is, the purchase order doesn't mean squat. Well, it does, but there is so much legal mumbo-jumbo written in there that states "dealer not responsible for errors". Again, this is a minor technicality as most dealers will honor a signed purchase order. But in reality, no paperwork means anything until you actually drive off the dealership lot.

    Again, your state's laws may vary.
