Wait is almost over..2010 Prius on Dealer Daily

Really?! That was not my intent. After reading all the posts it seems that everyone is basically saying the same thing.
I apologize if it seems to be a battle of any sort.
My experience has taught me that having a signed P&S is a good thing. Yes there are ways out of it, but generally, it's a mutually binding agreement.

 

Maggie, Seems like the west coast is getting preferential treatment! Maybe the next three will dock on the east coast!

 

So when do the ships that are mostly Prii going to start leaving Japan? The PYXIS is still in the first wave, not 100% Prii, right?

All I know is that on the west coast, they will not go on sale until June. Here is the email from the dealer (was supposed to pick up car this Sat):

Julie,
I just hung up the phone with the Distribution Manager for Toyota n. Ca. Toyota from the factory level has made the
decision that all dealers will receive their first Prius the first week of June. They will not negotiate because I think they want
all of the dealerships to have the opportunity to go to training and see the car at a factory sponsored ride and drive prior
to any customer taking delivery. I know this won't be easy for you in regard to the extra 3 weeks, however, at least you
have been guaranteed the first car to arrive.

I agree, I think it protects both parties and for a serious buyer it lets the dealership know the buyer is serious.
It might not be iron clad but I would want one of these signed before I took a long trip to pick up a car.

 

My Priority Prius is suppose to be on the first boat into Portland. My dealer says they can't find any Prius in his Dealer Daily. Something doesn't sound right.

I also want blue metallic ribbon, but i want the Prius III with solar. But delears are telling me theres non for now!!! Im going insane!!1 i must have it!!!!


This is what the dealer (maita toyota) told me for the North CA area.

"Gilbert
I have already searched all of Nocal region.There are only a total of 3 package 3 in the Blue color you desire. None of them have the sunroof/solar package."


oh noes!!! i want my blue prius!!!

 

Maybe, if the stars align. If nothing else I can go and drool over it when it comes in.

now that I know I have a car sitting on the dock in Portland!!!!!!

I don't have a purchase and sale agreement or a VIN, but I've been assured that my car has been "secured" for me, and I've seen the vehicle inquiry report.

Winebuff tells me that the port is closing for a week, though, so delivery may not be immediate. The dealer said maybe ten days. Now that I know it's going to happen, I can start practicing patience. (!snort! r i i i g h t--just watch me!)

 

Not sure you could see anything as they have that white plastic all over them. But here's a 50ft resolution from Google Maps for the Portland dock.
